Swim Camp Coordinator Lauren Dwyer
Lauren started her competitive swimming career at the age of nine years old and continued swimming through her Senior year at the University of Maine, Orono. After spending the last 6 years in Massachusetts working in Campus Recreation at Springfield College and most recently at Boston University, Lauren moved back ‘home’ to Maine, where she serves as the Aquatics Director at the AYCC. During her time in Massachusetts, Lauren added to her 13 years of coaching experience by serving as the Assistant Swim Coach for West Springfield High School, three seasons as the East Longmeadow Marlins Assistant Coach, one season as the Marlins Head Coach, one season as the Head Coach for the East Longmeadow High School Spartans, and one year as an Assistant Age Group practice coach for Charles River Aquatics. Lauren is excited to continue her coaching career within the MMD community and give back to the sport she loves!
Head Coach Kyle Bauer
Kyle Bauer has been the Head Coach of the Mid-Maine Dolphins for the past four years. In that time the team’s growth and success has seen major improvements due to the fun and intense practices he and the other coaches deliver. Kyle was named Head Coach of the year during the 2022 season, and has coached several athletes and relays to set multiple State Records during the 2021-2022 season. He swam competitively for the Long Reach Swim Club from 2006-2014, then went on to study Physical Education and swim all four years at Springfield College.
