Bethany has been coaching Fastpitch softball pitching/catching central Maine for 16 years. She then served as the Winslow Varsity Softball assistant coach/head coach for 4 years before joining the Winslow Varsity Baseball program as the first female baseball coach in school history. Bethany is entering her 4th season as Assistant Thomas Softball Coach - focusing on pitching/catching. 

 

 

 

  • Proper defensive fielding fundamentals

  • Base coverage for all positions

  • Situational defense such as double plays, rundowns, holding runners on the bases, and getting the lead runner out

  • Overhand form throwing 

  • Private pitching lessons 

  • Base running, stealing, tagging up, pass balls, aggressive leads, sliding techniques, dive backs 

  • Offense skills: proper form, hitting stations, bunting, drag bunting, slap bunting 

  • Team building and leadership exercises

July 31-August 5 (2022)

Drop off is Sunday at 4:00 P.M.

Pick up is Friday at 4:00 P.M.

Mon - Thurs Pick up at end of night game

DAY CAMPER THURSDAY OVERNIGHT EXPERIENCE

Add-On to Day Camp for 10-14 Softball

Day campers can now try the overnight experience! and stay at Camp Thursday night.

COACH IN TRAINING (CIT)

Ages 14-16

 

For those responsible youth who are still interested in participating and taking a leadership role with their younger peers we provide a Coach-in-Training program. CIT’s stay on site at camp and assist the younger campers and our counselors.  

Coaches-in-training will also be trained in leadership skills and be expected to act as role models.

CIT’s enjoy 3 meals a day and all Camp Tracy activities.

Requirements include: Applicable experience in the sport, two letters, of recommendation and a letter of intent.

Drop off Sunday 7/11 4:00pm

Pick up Friday 7/13 5:00pm

1 on 1 Coaching Sessions

What Would You Like to Know?

Is Gear Provided?
No, athletes need to come with a bat, helmet, sneakers and cleats. If your Athlete doesn't have something please contact us.

Do Day Campers Stay For Evening Games?
Yes, day campers also play in evening games.  Pick up is after evening games at around 7:30 P.M. - 8:00 P.M.

 Is My Camper Completely Registered?
A complete registration includes: Filled out registration form, the completion of medical documents and our liability waiver.

Can I Watch My Athlete Play?
Yes, games are open for friends and family members to attend. Games are played in the evening and schedules will be provided on New England Sports Camps Facebook page.
